We have give you a little sample of an effective skills matrix so you and your teams can actively refer to and up skill using the people and resources already in your business. Don't hide this document , print it out as a whiteboard and display in a secure staff environment or on company internal server. Refer to it weekly and get staff to update skills they may want to learn and encourage teams to cross train. Update Matrix when new staff member has started and what skills they bring. Learn to acknowledge when a staff member leaves and work to fill the void of that departure.
